How to play

1. 1

   Spin the draw

   Hit spin and the wheel lands on a nation and one specific World Cup they played in — say France 1998 or anyone's 2026 squad.

2. 2

   Draft a player

   Pick one real player from that squad and drop them into an open position. Players can only fill positions they actually played.

3. 3

   Fill all 11

   Each position fills once. Take the superstar now, or gamble that a better one comes later. You get one nation swap, one era swap and a reroll.

4. 4

   Run the gauntlet

   With your XI set, simulate a full World Cup run: three group games then the knockouts — eight matches to glory.

5. 5

   Chase 8-0-0

   Win all eight with zero draws and zero losses for the legendary 8-0-0 — a perfect, unbeaten World Cup.
